アートウィーク東京の映像プログラム「AWT VIDEO」（11/7 木 〜 11/10 日）に岩根愛が《No Man Ever Steps in the Same River Twice》（2020年）で参加いたします。

 

「AWT VIDEO」は、海外を拠点に活躍するキュレーターが厳選した映像作品を上映するビデオプログラム。2024年はニューヨークのスカルプチャーセンターのディレクターを務めるソフラブ・モヘビが監修し、「飛行機雲か山脈か」と題し14作品が上映されます。是非この機会にご高覧ください。

『​本年のAWT VIDEOは、アートを存在のための儀式を移行する場としてだけでなく、新たな共存のための形態を模索する場としても考えていく。「飛行機雲か山脈か」と尋ねる者がいた。同一のカテゴリーに属さない比較困難に見える問いだが、何よりもまず、それは本プログラムの作品群が刻む時間の風景の崩壊を物語るものである。それはどこか詩人のレイ・アーマントラウトが「Simply」（『Go Figure』、2024年）で問うたものに似ていなくもない。「最古の祖先は／加速者だった。／彼らは変化を食した。／私たちはどうなるのだろうか？」』

Ai Iwane will participate in “AWT VIDEO,” the video program by Art Week Tokyo, taking place from November 7 (Thu) through November 10 (Sun), 2024. Iwane will showcase No Man Ever Steps in the Same River Twice (2020).

​

“Screened at a special pavilion in the lobby of SMBC East Tower in the Marunouchi district, AWT Video presents a selection of single-channel moving image works by Japanese and international artists drawn from Art Week Tokyo’s participating galleries. Curated by Sohrab Mohebbi, the director of SculptureCenter in New York, this year’s program, “Between Contrail and Mountains,” features 14 works by 13 artists.”

アートウィーク東京による展覧会プログラム「AWT FOCUS」に表良樹が参加いたします。本プログラムで表は〈Tectonics〉シリーズより1点を発表いたします。

 

『2023年に始まった「AWT FOCUS」は、美術館での作品鑑賞とギャラリーでの作品購⼊というふたつの体験を掛け合わせた「買える展覧会」です。展示は毎年異なるテーマのもとでキュレーションされ、出展作品はすべて購入できます。会場は現存する日本最古の私立美術館である大倉集古館です。

​

第2回となる2024年の監修を務めるのは、森美術館館長であり国立アートリサーチセンター長も兼任する片岡真実。「大地と風と火と：アジアから想像する未来」と題し、政治や経済など人為的な分類や力による統治ではなく、自然の摂理や不可視のエネルギーといった観点から世界を見つめるアジア的世界観を起点に、多様性が共存する未来を考えます。

​

展示は「宇宙の構造」「手、身体、祈り」「見えない力」「自然界の循環とエネルギー」の4セクションに分かれ、日本からインドネシア、韓国、台湾、フィリピン、ブラジル、香港、メキシコまで、世界各地域から57組のアーティストが参加。日本の26のギャラリーに加え、ソウルのKukje Galleryやマニラ、ニューヨークに拠点を置くSilverlens、台北のTKG+など海外のギャラリーも作品を出品します。』

Yoshiki Omote will participate in “AWT FOCUS,” an exhibition program by Art Week Tokyo. Omote will showcase his artwork from his Tectonics series.

​

“AWT Focus is a curated sales platform with a historical scope. Each year a guest curator is invited to experiment with new narratives of modern and contemporary art through works drawn from Art Week Tokyo’s participating galleries. 

​

This year’s edition of AWT Focus is led by Mami Kataoka, one of Japan’s most accomplished curators. “Earth, Wind, and Fire: Visions of the Future from Asia” surveys Japanese contemporary art in relation to new practices in Asia and beyond. The exhibition is divided into four sections addressing the themes of cosmic structures; hand, body, and prayer; invisible forces; and natural cycles and ecosystems.

The 57 participating artists and groups hail from places as varied as Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, and Taiwan as well as Japan. Alongside 26 Japanese galleries, three international galleries—Kukje (Seoul), Silverlens (Manila/New York), and TKG+ (Taipei)—are contributing works to the exhibition. ”

T3 PHOTO ASIA連動企画として、トークショーシリーズ「アートコレクションにおける写真の見方」の最終回が、10月12日（土）に開催されます。今回のテーマは「制作ストーリーからコレクションまで」で、アーティストの鈴木麻弓氏と小松浩子氏をゲストに迎え、河西香奈（KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY）がモデレーターを務めます。写真の制作過程からコレクションに至るまでの裏話に迫る貴重な機会です。​

As part of the T3 PHOTO ASIA collaborative project, the final session of the talk show series, "How to View Photography in Art Collections," will be held on Saturday, October 12. Titled "From Creation Stories to Collection," this talk show will feature artists Mayumi Suzuki and Hiroko Komatsu, with Kana Kawanishi of KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY moderating. Their discussion will delve into the creation process and how works make their way into collections. ​

「ソノ アイダ#日本橋」は2024年9月から2025年6月末まで三井不動産日本橋宝町162ビルを舞台にしたアートプロジェクト。これから本格化する日本橋開発の狭間、都市の解体前後にアート活動はどのように向き合い、人々を繋ぐのか。前半（2025年1月末まで）は162ビル2階に「ARTISTS STUDIO」を設置。作品制作・展示・OUTSCHOOL・イベントなど予定しており、アーティストの滞在制作を中心に、実験場を展開し、日本橋エリアへの活動の広がりを目指します。

“Sono Aida#Nihombashi” is an art project taking place at the Mitsui Fudosan Nihonbashi Muromachi 162 Building from September 2024 to the end of June 2025. Amid the rapidly progressing Nihonbashi redevelopment, this project explores how art can engage with the transformations before and after the demolition of the city and connect people. In the first phase (until the end of January 2025), “ARTISTS STUDIO” will be set up on the second floor of the 162 Building, featuring art production, exhibitions, OUTSCHOOL, and various events. With a focus on artist residencies, the project aims to create an experimental platform and expand activities in the Nihonbashi area.

2024年7月1日（月）から9月29日（日）までフランス・アルルにて開催される第55回アルル国際写真フェスティバルに岩根愛と鈴木麻弓が参加いたします。両者はそれぞれメインプログラムの一つ「Reflection – 11/03/11 Japanese Photographers Facing the Cataclysm」およびアソシエイトプログラム「TRANSCENDENCE」（KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭によるプロデュース）の二つの展覧会にて作品を発表いたします。

Ai Iwane and Mayumi Suzuki will participate in Les Rencontres d'Arles from July 1 (Mon) through September 29 (Sun), 2024 taking place in Arles, France. Both artists will be showcasing their artworks at one of the festival’s main programs, “Reflection – 11/03/11 Japanese Photographers Facing the Cataclysm,” and the associated program “Transcendence” (produced by International Photography Festival KYOTOGRAPHIE).

岩根愛が青森県内で現代美術を紹介する5つの美術館・アートセンター（青森県立美術館、青森公立大学 国際芸術センター青森、弘前れんが倉庫美術館、八戸市美術館、十和田市現代美術館）を舞台に2024年9月1日（日）まで開催中の「AOMORI GOKAN アートフェス 2024」に参加しています。岩根は青森公立大学 国際芸術センター青森 [ACAC]でのグループ展「currents / undercurrents －いま、めくるめく流れは出会って」前期*にて映像作品《The Opening》を発表しています。​

In addition, Iwane’s video installation No Man Ever Steps in the Same River Twice is currently on view at the exhibition “TOP Collection: A Traveler from 1200 Months in the Past” at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum until July 7 (Sun), 2024.

*本展は前期・後期の二期に分かれており、前期が6月30日まで、その後展示替えを経て7月13日〜9月29日の会期にて後期を開催。（二期ともに岩根を含めた同作家陣が参加。）

また上記に加え、東京都写真美術館にて7月7日（日）まで開催中のコレクション展「TOPコレクション 時間旅行：千二百箇月の過去とかんずる方角から」にて、同館コレクションより岩根の映像作品《No Man Ever Steps in the Same River Twice》が展示されています。両展とも、ぜひご高覧ください。

Ai Iwane is currently participating in the inaugural edition of the AOMORI GOKAN Arts Fest 2024, taking place at five contemporary art museums and art centers in Aomori Prefecture, Japan until September 1 (Sun), 2024. Iwane is showcasing her video work The Opening at the group exhibition “currents / undercurrents: Bringing together the endless flow” (1st term*) at Aomori Contemporary Art Centre, Aomori Public University [ACAC] as part of the art festival’s main programs.

*The first term is on view until June 30, and the second term will take place from July 13 through September 29. (Participating artists are the same in both terms. The exhibited artworks will be changed between the terms.)

​

In addition, Iwane’s video installation No Man Ever Steps in the Same River Twice is currently on view at the exhibition “TOP Collection: A Traveler from 1200 Months in the Past” at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum until July 7 (Sun), 2024.

福寿園が京都本店に今春オープンした新ギャラリー「アートスペース福寿園」でのこけら落とし展として、戸田沙也加の個展「茶花礼賛」が6月25日（火）まで開催中です。

Sayaka Toda’s solo exhibition “Chabana-Raisan” is currently on view at Art Space Fukujuen (Kyoto) until June 25 (Tue), 2024, commemorating the opening of its new space in the Fukujuen flagship store.

 

Toda is also currently participating in the group exhibition “TOKAS-Emerging 2024” at Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo from May 18 (Sat) through June 16 (Sun), 2024. She is showcasing her latest project Echoes of the Unspoken: The Silent Voices of the Vanishing in which she advanced the series Lying in the Land of Overgrown Weeds she had presented at her solo exhibition at KANA KAWANISHI GALLERY in 2023.

藤元明が東京・自由が丘しらかば通りに目黒区によってこの春新たに設置された広場「スキマテラス」の壁に2024年5月10日〜24日の二週間をかけて大型壁画（18m × 6m）を公開制作いたしました。完成した壁画は5月25日から公開されていますので、近くにお立ち寄りの際はぜひご覧ください。

藤元明によるプロジェクト「ソノ アイダ」がTOKYO MIDTOWN AWARDとの協業にて、2024年2月〜7月末まで期間限定のアーティストスタジオ「ソノ アイダ＃TOKYO MIDTOWN AWARD」を⽇本橋室町162ビルにオープンいたしました。約2か月ごとの入替制でアーティストが滞在制作を行う本プログラムの第1期に井村一登が参加しています。2月からの制作を経て、3月16日（土）～ 3月31日（日）の会期にて成果展を開催中です。
